What are your favourite books on UX design?

#1

I really enjoy a series of books from https://abookapart.com – they’re short, straight to the point and cover a great range of relevant topics (from research and accessibility to using version control and responsive UI). What are your recommendations?

I always suggest The User Experience Team of One by Leah Buley. It’s an excellent primer on UX and working as a solo UX pro - a role that is becoming more and more prevalent in our industry as smaller businesses begin to recognize the value of UX and hire accordingly.

I second User Experience Team of One - it’s great for when you’re starting out, but also serves as an excellent point of reference for when I lose my way a bit.

I’d also recommend The User’s Journey by Donna Lichaw (another Rosenfeld book), and Sprint by Jake Knapp.
