I have a client that wants to have a dropdown menu on their website. I proposed a large/mega menu if they must have one, as I tend to avoid them altogether where possible and instead use a clear navigation path through the site, as dropdowns really don’t work on mobile devices and feel that hidden navigation is not a great thing. They, however, want a traditional multi-level drop down.
Am I right in thinking this? IF I am can anyone direct me to stats on UX that shows this to be true? I’m sure I have read things in the past about this, but I can’t seem to find them. All I can find relates to select fields in forms.
